Lakers Acquire Gabe Vincent (whoop de doo)

Remember who was out here advocating Gabe Vincent first.  But I don't know about this deal.  Or let me say that the best thing about it, from the Lakers' perspective, is that Vincent has experience playing defense in the post.  He may not be the Gauntlet, but he does have experience, having been schooled by Aaron Gordon, one of the best when it comes to backing down defenders.  Also, they're not spending a shitload of money on Gabe, thus having some to invest elsewhere.

Of course, I don't know what's going on in LAL's office.  But if they do intend to keep AD and Lebron, their primary focus should be acquiring backup players for those positions, because dudes can get hurt or show their age/mileage at any second.  I also already voiced my opinion that Draymond is the most valuable free agent on this market.  He's like a coach on the court, and no other player in the NBA, as far as I can tell, is like that.  But idk, maybe the Warriors have already decided to keep him, and vice versa.  But if not, I don't know why dudes is going around chasing Fred VanVleet and shit (no disrespect) while Green is out there.  Maybe Draymond has made too many enemies on the court to just be switching teams like that, and some coaches may be afraid of him also.

It's also cool that the Lakers have paid to keep Austin Reaves.  I said awhile back they needed a quality jump-shooting Whiteboy, and he proved to be one.  And I would presume that maintaining such a standard takes on an extra level of difficult when you're a teammate of Lebron.

But there were times when Reaves was out there looking like deadass Larry Legend, making big 3-pointers at critical junctures of the most-important games.  But, he can't play defense for shit.  It's like if an opposing player so much as bumps him, by default he flies back at least a foot.  And a potential starting five of LBJ + AD + Vincent + Reaves and let's say Hachimura will probably be one of the weaker defenses out there.
