The Return of NBA Inception

I had taken this blog offline for awhile but have concluded, considering some of the stuff currently going on in the NBA, that it has to be back up.  Indeed even before all this China beef materialized people were already dubbing this summer 'the wildest offseason in NBA history', etc.  And by the looks of things the wilding isn't going to die down anytime soon.

Also while this blog was down, some of the homeys put up another one called AllNBAChat which I frequented.  I even posted an article there entitled Lakers Are the Team to Beat in the NBA, which I now wish I had copied and posted here considering that the homeys have totally deleted the blog.  But basically my argument was that the Lakers are my personal favorites to win the Championship this upcoming season, especially considering that height is intrinsically the biggest advantage in basketball.  Or another way of looking at it is that if the modern NBA were truly centered on jump shooting as many pundits like to argue, then the average height of players should be decreasing significantly since guards tend to be the best shooters.  But of course such is not actually transpiring.

Also on AllNBAChat I made a comment, when Commissioner Adam Silver passed those anti-tampering rules where he could even "take people's communication devices" - that the powers that be were out to prove that NBA executives and owners are "gimps" just like the players.  By "gimps" I meant people who were more concerned with making big money than standing up for their basic rights.  And I really, really regret the comment being deleted, considering that it was like a couple of weeks before this whole China debacle.

Lebron James went from being perceived as a champion of human right to now being dubbed a sellout in the matter of a heartbeat.  But there's a lot of that going around these days.
So logically I feel bad that the homeys deleted AllNBAChat  wish I had supported it more when the opportunity was ripe.  But maybe some of those same heads will eventually start posting here also.  And either way, I'm hoping that more people will start reading this blog and at least start leaving comments.  For the NBA is now just as exciting as it was during the Jordan years.
